Demetrios Preview
Demetrios is described as "A long, varied, standalone adventure with 8 to 12 hours of gameplay. All art is Hand drawn and is in full High Defination. There are mini-games throughout where the player can search for hidden cookies on every screen.
Personally, this game is very well done and the art style is fantastic. The story starts with your character, Bjorn Thonen, asleep. He hears a noise in his living room and so grabs a flashlight to investigate only to find out he's getting robbed but before he can think, he is swiftly knocked out and wakes up the next morning. This is where the game begins and you now must search through the house and find clues to who the burglar is. The gameplay is similar to most point and click adventure games with some added bonuses. On each screen you can find 3 cookies. Finding half or all of these cookies gets you an achievement but that's not all they're for. If you ever find yourself stuck on something, you can eat a cookie and will be given a hint to what you need to do. Each puzzle has it's own different solutions and it is very rewarding when you manage to figure it out by yourself. One of the best things about this game is the game over screens, which there are two types, dying or going to prison, each usually followed by some quirky phrase. There are so many ways to die, some being similar, some being largely different. It's definitely be a 9/10. Purely on the basis of it being a fantastic experience.
