Lil Jimmie Review
The games opening menu displays a nice graphic of two moving 'Jimmies' this explains the controls of the game, to tap Lil Jimmie and keep him bouncing around with more successful bounces meaning the higher the players' score. The game can be difficult at times as you can only touch the bottom of the character and nowhere else showing that the players timing is crucial. The games title graphics is clear and can be read easily with a good choice of font that suits the game.
The Hudl tablet hasn't got the best specs but that is why it's good for testing games and Lil Jimmie runs reasonably well, it can run slow sometimes but not awfully slow. Later on I found the game to glitch and freeze. This problem does not occur as frequently however on more recent pieces of technology such as the Samsung Galaxy s5 phone, where the game ran smoothly and worked fine.
This game features ads but does not have the feature to remove them for a one off fee. This is something that could possibly be added in a future update. That being said the ads aren't too often but cause the game to lag.
The game has a backing soundtrack and sound effects for every score the player receives. This builds on the simplicity of the game in a good way.
To improve in the future the game could evolve on the story of Lil Jimmie more as the developing team La Zougi are promoting it as "Save Jimmie" if they were to work on the story and add more depth to the game it has potential to do reasonably well in the near future. But it struggles to keep the player entertained because their is no story. This game works well with younger audiences and a story that would give the player a reason to spend more time on the game would see the game be suitable for children and adults alike!
I found this game average but it does have fun moments and you can see the effort made by the developing team which is pleasing. Again should there be a an update in the future there is no reason as to why this game cannot be more popular.
RATING 6/10
